The College Promise Campaign: Announcing the 2019 Student Voices Video Competition!

Calling all students! The College Promise Campaign, with support from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, is launching its 2019 Student Voices Video Competition! The goal of this competition is to celebrate diversity in the student experience and hear what college has meant to them – what passions the students have discovered, the challenges they’ve overcome, and how higher education has opened doors to new opportunities in their life. Additionally, we want to hear how they expect college will change their lives in the future.

CollegePromiseAwards2019We’re asking current high school seniors and college students of all ages and academic levels to submit short videos on social media answering one or more of these questions in a creative way. Winners will receive college scholarships of $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second, and $1,000 for third! Top entrants will also have the opportunity to publish their personal story.

Students should follow these three easy steps to enter by July 15, 2019:

  • Register for the competition at
  • Follow us on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram, and accept our follow back so we can see your post!
  • Post your video, and be sure to tag us, your school, and use the hashtags #PromiseVideoComp2019, #CollegePromise, and #StudentVoices

The College Promise Campaign would greatly appreciate your help in getting the word out! The competition is going live on April 15th. Please share this scholarship opportunity with the college students and high school seniors in your life. To learn more about this scholarship, check out our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or website. About the College Promise Campaign: The College Promise Campaign is a national, non-partisan initiative to build broad public support for funding the first two years of higher education. We want the first two years of college to become as universal, free, and accessible as high school has been for nearly a century! Our Campaign encourages visionary leaders throughout our nation to use their ingenuity and persistence to put College Promise programs in place, enabling students to complete their college degrees and certificates without the burden of unmanageable debt.
